Welcome to Family Tree Genie

Hi there. Welcome to my new website. My name is David Millward and I’ve been researching my own family tree for the past 15 years.

I enjoy genealogy so much, I thought it was about time I shared my skills and expertise to help others find out about their ancestors.

Our own family tree research has been fascinating to uncover. The names of our ancestors, the things they did for a living and the people they married. Where they lived and when they died.

It’s quite addictive, once you get going and gives you a real sense of belonging, once you start to understand where certain family traits have come from. Take our own family, for instance, one of our great grandmothers is in the Guinness Book of Records for having the world’s heaviest triplets!

We also discovered that there was a shoe maker in our family, who ran his own business with two of his sons.
